Life has been a journey to say the least and I’m here for the ride!
There’s been ups and downs, strong relationships and broken ones, service industry jobs and corporate ones, hobbies, passion projects, certifications, and new skills acquired. There’s been life on the east coast and in the west. Years spent in the mountains and next to the ocean. Life in a house and until recently, on the road. In my 30 years, I feel like I’ve lived many different lifestyles, personalities, and lifetimes, trying to figure out who I am as a person or more importantly, a soul. But the one thing that has always followed me along this journey is my passion for health and movement.
Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Kristin Riegel, a Health and Happiness Coach on a constant journey to better my health esteem and finding joy in helping others do the same.
Most my life I’ve been an athlete. Soccer was the name of the game and I played it everyday for the first couple decades of my life. Once soccer left the playing field, I found fitness in a gym and a yoga studio. This became my therapy during my formative and stressful college years, but with no sense of direction or purpose behind my workouts, my time in the gym came and gone. Next up, finding movement outdoors became a passion between snowboarding, rockclimbing, mountain biking and more! I found more joy in these activities than I ever felt before, but injuries and physical pains from these impact sports became more apparent than ever as my 20’s slowly crept closer to my 30’s. Sure I was getting outside and constantly moving my body, but I wasn’t prioritizing building strength or eating right for my body. But soon I realized there was a pattern here…movement increased my health and self esteem and felt more like my purpose than any skill, job, or passion I pursued into the past. We must be onto something…
So enter in my late 20’s and I’m pursuing a yoga certification in Costa Rica and my health coaching certification a couple years later. Finally, I found my passion and my purpose!
But, something is still missing…accountability, community, and a stronger sense of direction when it comes to fitness. Well here I am, now in my 30’s and I think I’ve finally found it. I feel more strength, purpose, community, accountability, and health esteem than ever before. Woah, that was a lot, wasn’t it? Well if you’ve made it this far, I thank you. Thank you for following along on my journey, helping keep me accountability, and encouraging me to keep going. And if you’re anything like me and have been on a long journey of self-discovery and growth as well, I applaud you and encourage you to keep going!
Just know I am here for you on your health and happiness journey as well!
